1. Indiana Council on Educating Black Children Task Force meets with Superintendent of Public Instruction, Dr. Tony Bennett (Indiana Department of Education) — Meeting not open to public.
2. Indiana Council on Educating Black Children Task Force meets with 2009/2010 Indiana Statewide Conference participants (city representatives) – Meeting open to registered participants only – Contact ICEBC Task Force for more information (icebc_taskforce@yahoo.com)
3. Indianapolis Community Action Team Collaboration Meeting — Indianapolis Plan Co-chairs Richard Bonds and Kamau Jywanzak have invited Indianapolis community leaders and stakeholder groups to hear recommendations and solutions to address the achievement gap of African American children. The meeting will focus on explaining education circles for collaboration and involvement and to specifically seek volunteers to serve on committees for implementation of action steps for literacy, mentoring, parent involvement and cultural diversity. The information meeting will be held Monday, June 21 at Julia Carson Government Center, 300 Fall Creek Parkway, Indianapolis Indiana.
